Club Kit

Why Are We Changing Our Club Kit?

Our club kit has served us well over the years, but many members have shared feedback that the design was starting to feel outdated. As a club that values both performance and community, we want our kit to reflect who we are today while maintaining our strong identity on the road.

A Fresh Look by One of Our Own

To ensure the new kit captures the spirit of Birrarung Cycling Club, we turned to one of our talented members, Anna, an artist and passionate cyclist. Anna has created a refreshed design that keeps the essence of our club while giving it a more modern and dynamic feel.

Anna’s Design Goals

  • Identity: Incorporate our club’s colours, logo, and name prominently

  • Safety: Include subtle reflective elements for visibility during low-light conditions

  • Aesthetics: Create a modern, stylish look that people want to wear and that promotes team unity

  • Refresh: A design that appeals to members who don’t currently wear the kit, without putting off those who already do

  • Personal Goal: Design a kit that club members want to wear even when not on a BCC ride

What’s Next?

The Club have voted, the kits been selected and Anna and Simon worked hard with Pedla to design the new kit for the web store which is open until 13th October 2024. Below is a teaser, here is a link to the store.

Birraung Cycling Club acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people as the Traditional Owners and true sovereigns of the land now known as Yarra. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. We recognise the significance of the Birrarung to Traditional Owners as a life source and a meeting place, and seek to honour a 40,000 year tradition of building community on these lands.
