Frequently asked questions
Q: What if I’m already an AusCycling member?
A: If you are already an AusCycling member, you’re welcome to come along and try us out. However, if you plan to ride with us regularly, we ask that you join the club using the AusCycling club add-on option.
Q: Can I be a member of more than one club?
A: Yes you can. AusCycling allows you to be a member of as many clubs as you want. See the AusCycling club add-on option for more information.
Q: Why do I have join AusCycling? Can’t I just join the club directly?
A: By joining AusCycling you receive insurance coverage whenever you ride, protecting you, your fellow club members, and the club. You also receive other AusCycling membership benefits and support the broader cycling community. We are a club through AusCycling so you can need to join AusCycling to join the club.
Q: Why does my membership go through AusCycling?
AusCycling is Australia's national cycling body. Every affiliated club runs under an AusCycling licence with cover from AusCycling's insurance cover. This is what allows clubs to hold sanctioned events, access council venues, protect volunteers to build trails, or hold group rides without being exposed to personal and financial risk. In short: without AusCycling membership, the sport as we know it couldn't exist.
Q: I'm having trouble with my AusCycling account, who can help me?
