Before you borrow

Bike travel bags are expensive and can be damaged during airline handling. Members borrowing a bag are expected to:

  • Take reasonable care of the bag while it is in their possession.

  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for packing and using the bag.

  • Return the bag clean and in the same condition it was supplied, allowing for normal wear and tear.

  • Tell the club or owner immediately if the bag is lost or damaged.

  • Have appropriate travel insurance, other insurance, or the financial means to replace the bag with a new equivalent bag if it is lost or damaged beyond repair while in their possession.

  • The borrower is responsible for the bag from the time they collect it until it is returned to the club or owner.
